Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Kathedraallogies Drie Koningen in Antwerp, I was pleasantly surprised by its perfect blend of charm and convenience. Nestled within a historical building just a two-minute stroll from the bustling Town Square, this B&B embraces the ambiance of the old town beautifully while ensuring a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle. The guest room boasted a comfortable bed and a delightful private bathroom, which was a welcome luxury after a long day exploring nearby attractions like the Fashion Museum and the Plantin-Moretus Museum. Adding to the cozy vibe, I appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea in the common area, perfect for brewing a leisurely morning fix. While the atmosphere was fantastic, the management left a bit to be desired. Although I didn't encounter any significant issues myself, a fellow traveler muttered about potential check-in hiccups. Still, I found the ambiance overwhelmingly inviting, with wall paintings exuding historical significance and the inner courtyard offering a dreamy spot to unwind with a beer in hand. With an array of bars and restaurants just a stone’s throw away, especially for a beer enthusiast like me, I couldn't help but feel at home. The charm of the building, paired with the friendly staff and the hub of culture surrounding it, made for a memorable experience that will resonate with anyone seeking a mix of comfort and adventure.
